Hamilton-rio have worked with Burge and Gunson since 2001with the launch of their first web site.
Their bathroom site containg an enormous amount of information and picture material. To manage such a complex navigation format we used Spry/Javascript elements. The site is validated to WC3 HTML 4.01.
We have redesigned the site twice and we manage the site content on a contractual basis.
C·A·I Vision a leading security, communications and electrical solution provider, commissioned Hamilton-Rio Design to put forward a proposal for the design and build of a web site for their Custom Installation division.
The brief was to visually engage the visitor so that they would perceive the concept of custom installation. We art directed the 'photo shoot' and built the site using Adobe Flash. The site was fully SEO formatted and again a text based mirror site was added to aid the search site spyders.
Hamilton-Rio Design was approached by the three principles behind drive smarter to put forward a concept plan for an interactive training modules site, after having disappointing results from previous sources.
We produced a design concepts for the site, and along with one of our web partners FENET, submitted a plan for the layout and programming of the modules database. The site is rich in visual content and uses broadcast quality streamed video and sound files as part of each module. Results for each student are collected, rated and passed to each client along with any recommended further action.
We are currently working on stage 2 of the site, adding further content areas to enhance the users experience, and optimising selected 'landing' pages for search site ranking
New Victoria Cosmectic Surgery Clinic
Hamilton-Rio were asked to design and build a new site for our existing client The New Victoria Hospital.
The brief was to design a visually friendly and informative site, that would be easy to explore and find detailed information about procedures. We built the site to WC3 XHTML 1.0 Strict standard with accessibility also in mind.
Hamilton-Rio manage the St Raphael's Hospice web site on a continual basis. We update content and add page areas regularly as required. We have also evolved the design over the last 3 years.
The site is fully validated to WC3 HTML 4.01.
Security inStore are distributors of CCTV cameras and equipment, Alarm and Door Entry systems to trade and retail customers.
Hamilton-Rio Design were commissioned to design and build an on-line shopping site. The brief was simple, to make life as easy as possible for shoppers whilst giving in-depth information, advice and technical specifications to an extensive rage of products.
Although the range and type of products was extensive, navigation needed to be intuitive and simple to use, so a layered approach was incorporated, allowing the visitor to delve deep into the site without loosing their way.
The site database was produced with our web partner FENET, so that our client could maintain products, information and images etc. from their base of operation using a menu driven system within a web browser. It was also designed to evolve and grow as required by our client.
We were commissioned to redesign The New Victoria Hospital web site. The brief was to modernise the design and use the latest coding techniques to improve the visitors navigation.
Launched in April 2008, the site is fully validated and optimized for accessibility. We manage the site content and have initiated a SEO programme to improve page ranking across a broad range of key phrases and words.
New Victoria Orthopaedic Clinic
The New Victoria Hospital, a long standing client, commissioned Hamilton-Rio Design to design and build a web site for their new Orthopaedic Clinic service. The brief was to produce a visually informative site that gave a good laymans description of common conditions and the types of services The New Victoria Orthopaedic Clinic offered.
Our solution was to build the site using Adobe Flash. This allowed the use of animated graphics as well as text descriptions of each condition and surgical procedure. The site was fully SEO formatted and a text only XHTML mirror site was produced to help search site spyders rank the content.
Within a month of submitting the url to search sites we achieved a page 1 ranking on Google UK and page 2 ranking for Yahoo UK for the search term 'orthopaedic clinic'. For the search term 'orthopaedic clinic London' we achieved page 1 ranking on both.
ThinkCabins.com is a new 'catalogue' site for Summerhouses, Log cabins, Verandas, Garages, Swimming pools, Sheds, Workshops and Playhouses. Our client, Farm Fencing Limited, wanted a content rich site for visitors to browse before contacting them to discuss an order.
As this area of business is quite crowded, SEO was deemed of prime importance to gain a top page ranking. We recommended fully optimising the home page and the three product area introduction pages as 'landing' pages for search terms, rather than the whole site (which is more cost effective). We will be reviewing the page ranking on the main search sites about a month after initial submission.
