Adobe® Flash
Media rich web sites and internet applications, animated graphics, navigation and video content, as in the caivision-ci web site. Adobe Flash is the software of choice for all of these. Being a cross platform and cross browser standard, visually compelling content for part or complete web sites/applications can be created.
The newest version of Flash contains animation and programming suites requiring a high degree of knowledge and skill. Web sites built with Flash are more expensive to produce that normal XHTML based web sites, which is understandable, being the rich media authoring tool that it is.
In our opinion Flash should be used if it brings a genuine benefit to the visitors experience, helps to explain content visually (e.g. with animated graphics) as in the New Victoria Orthopaedic Clinic web site, is used as a teaching/games environment or to build a media rich application.

Apple® QuickTime
Apple's QuickTime is our preferred choice of movie format for web sites. It is high quality and stable, with excellent web streaming capabilities. The authoring environment is capable of producing outstanding results as seen on the DriveSmarter web site.
