Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Search sites such as Google, Yahoo and MSN have search result pages containing two types of listings. One is PayPerClick or Sponsored links and the other are what has been termed 'organic' links, which is the free results section.

What is SEO (Wikipedia)

A search results page will usually contain a group of 3 sponsored links at the top, a column to the right and a few more at the bottom of the page, with 10 organic links in the middle. Paid for (sponsored) links do not come with a guarantee of a page one placement and can be very expensive per click on top of the fee required by your agency.

Organic SEO has become one of the cost effective, key areas in website success, particularly in these difficult times. It's objective is this; to improve the search result ranking in search sites (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask etc), to try to get that all important page one ranking placement. SEO involves using keywords and phrases within the website/page content, properly descriptive 'ALT' tags and links, page titles and hidden description tags, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), incoming links and regularly updated relevant subject matter.

The execution of SEO needs skill, knowledge about how people search and time to achieve. After the initial optimisation of the site we can further optimise selected 'landing' pages (those pages deemed the ones that our clients would prefer search results to select).

We will provide a tailored SEO programme of monthly/quarterly reports and website statistics. How the SEO keywords are performing, search site ranking information and suggestions to either improve the ranking or help keep the position that your website has achieved.

Bear in mind that there are many SEO companies out there trying to achieve top ranking for their clients, as well as hundreds or thousands of websites with the same or similar type of business profile, so competition is fierce, but the right result can and have been achieved.
